On joining EIS every student is assigned to a House
The names of the Houses are: Bears, Tigers, Wolves and Eagles.
House Points are awarded to students for a variety of reasons including; excellent academic work and helping others. The Houses compete against each other for points in a friendly environment; there is some healthy competition and rivalry as part of the competition which encourages students to do their very best.
Siblings are placed in the same Houses and each House is compromised of students of all ages from across the school, enabling our senior students to learn leadership and organizational skills. Staff are also allocated to Houses and each House has a House Captain chosen from the amongst the student population.
A sense of inclusion and engagement in a common enterprise can have academic as well as social-emotional benefits. The whole school House System was developed to promote a positive and inclusive culture at English International School, where all students are welcome and valued, and can demonstrate loyalty and allegiance while contributing to the success of their House.
