YEAR 1
This week in maths we focused on subtraction with higher numbers and number bonds. In science, we ordered and wrote about the process of growing sunflowers, which will grow from next week outside. In English, we worked on developing our handwriting, spelling skills and phonic awareness.
YEAR 2
Year 2 are blossoming – just like our mini-classroom garden! We were very excited to see the first shoots appear this week. The sunflowers have grown so fast we needed to attached sticks or pencils to keep the stems steady! In Maths, we tackled the challenging process of division! Year 2 are Maths Wizards!! We practiced sharing items among different numbers of children. Year 2 also learned how the multiplication facts they already know, can help them solve division questions. Year 2 are writing fantastic sentences, using speech marks and choosing interesting words to replace ‘said’. Well done Year 2! We are all looking forward to wearing costumes and celebrating International Day next week!
