Dear Parents,

EYFS are enjoying the more colourfully decorated outdoor area with buntings of shapes, letters of the alphabet, numbers and flags of countries from around the world. They also have loved snack time picnics under the new gazebo, where they have been painting, drawing or just escaping the sun. This week was also the week of individual and class photographs. There are definitely future models in the making with new besties Sophia and Yu Han!

In language and literacy, we have continued reading our High Frequency words and decoding CVC words, while writing simple sentences about ourselves and our families. During our Numeracy lessons this week we have continued doing simple addition and subtraction using the part whole model and pictorial representation. We have also enjoyed singing ‘1,2,3,4,5 once I caught a fish alive’.

During our topic lessons we have looked at photographs of ourselves from the time we were babies till now, seeing how we have grown. We know that we are living things because we move, grow, need food, water and air. We have also been watering the seeds we planted and checking if any have started to grow. Daniel’s and Yu Han’s seeds have already started to germinate but we are still waiting for everyone elses seeds to begin sprouting.

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend!
