MUSIC CLUB
It seems like ever such a long time ago, that we began the process of auditions for Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies, by award winning play write Craig Hawes. Over the last few months, students have been working very hard to prepare, learning lines, learning songs and working on staging all culminating in the series of performance they had this week. Throughout this week, we have been having a number of rehearsals, seen some tears of nervousness, smiles of accomplishment and a group of children who have pushed through adversity to achieve something special. Ms. Valentina, Ms. Elena and Ms. Katya have been working extremely hard to build props, teach songs and provide so much support behind the scenes in order to support our amazing group of children throughout this entire process. The children have been amazing through all of it and this week have put together amazing performances for staff, students and parents alike. On behalf of myself and everyone here at EIS, we could not be more proud of our amazing students and all of the effort that they have put in to make this week special for all of the parents and their fellow students. Great job to everyone.

KNITTING CLUB

The Beginner's Knitting Club has been very successful. The children have learned to knit in Garter Stitch and completed a small piece of knitting to take home. Quite a number of children are learning a new purl stitch which combined with the knit stitch makes Stocking Stitch.

FRENCH CLUB

During the French club, we learn and discuss about French culture, French history, and of course French food. Last week, we spoke about King Louis XIV and the Palace of Versailles. We use different support like craft, video, drawing, or even games. Every week, we try to eat and discover a typical food from France. Our favourite food is of course cheese and every week we try to discover a new one. In France there are more than 1,200 varieties of cheeses ....... we still have a lot of work!

EYFS and Year 1 have dance club on Monday afternoons during which they develop their social skills and expend all that excess energy dancing to their favourite songs. They learn to take turns to choose songs, realising that they cannot be the only one choosing- sometimes there are songs for boys, sometimes girls, sometimes Year 1 choose, at other EYFS's choose and then there songs that everyone enjoy like ' The floor is lava'. It is great watching some personal, creative choreography, as well as following of Just Dance sequences.

ART CLUB

This week in Art Club, we made Olympic torches. We used tin foil to cover a toilet roll tube and a paper cup. We inserted one end of the tube into a hole in the bottom of the cup to make the torch. Finally we added red, yellow and orange tissue paper to the cup to look like the flame. Some of us even added red, yellow and orange feathers to our flame
