Year 13 students learnt about various graphs transformations and had to do a presentation on “Modulus functions and their graphs”. Each student delivered a detailed explanation to how they solved the problem and explained the steps to their peers.
Year 11 students started a new topic “Circle theorems” and have been solving geometrical problems where they had to apply five different rules connecting angles inscribed inside circles. In the next few lessons they will learn how to prove theorems and solve problems of higher difficulty.
Year seven Maths have written their first test and the stress levels was high but as great warriors, they won the battle. With a few losses and minor injuries, they are using their magic potion of extra battles to resurrect the fallen. We are learning a lot and they are really up to the task.
Future architects are developed in the Year 8 math’s class as we tackle the first Geometry topic of parallel lines. They are learning about the different angles that transversal makes when it crosses two parallel lines. They have withered the storm of factors and prime factors and have come out safe, happy and much challenged.
