Dear Parents,

After a long academic year, in which we have all been tested to our limits, it is time to say goodbye for the summer. I want to thank you all for your amazing support, particularly during the period of online learning. I fervently hope that we are back in school on 1st September (signs are that we will be). I would also like to thank all those parents who took part in our e-learning parent survey. If lockdown does happen again please rest assured that I have listened to your feedback and an improved online service will be ready to go at the point that happens.

It is also time to say goodbye to the staff who are leaving us to move onto pastures new: Mrs Jacqui Visser, Mr Neil Visser, Mr Stewart MacPherson, Ms Elena Chertolyas, Ms Liliya Aleynikova, Ms Elizaveta Volosatova, Ms Marna Greyling, Ms Olga Zakharkina, Ms Marina Vishnykova and Ms Alison Pollard. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for all their hard work and wish them all the best in their new endeavors.

I would also like to thank our Principal, Mr Malcolm Phillips, who brought me here to Moscow but is himself retiring after a long career. We wish him and his wife Caroline all the best for the future and a happy retirement.

We look forward to seeing you all on the 1st September. Over the summer, lots of work will take place at school to ensure we are ready to welcome our students back, including a larger ICT suite, larger classrooms, a new site for A Level teaching and in response to student feedback, a new PSHE (personal, social and health education) curriculum.

Enjoy the summer,

Mel Hitchcocks and the Team at SW.
