Year 2

Year 2 continued their Online Learning journey this week. We are very impressed with their participation in Live Lessons and Year 2 are becoming familiar with SeeSaw, which they use to send their work back to me. This week, we were learning about the changing seasons. We talked about the baby animals that are born in spring, how the weather changes and the events that we celebrate in spring. We had lots of fun on April Fool’s Day, playing tricks and telling jokes! Remember to send us your funny jokes on SeeSaw! Year 2 found creative ways to practice their spelling words, making the letters from playdough and even from sweets!

Year 2 are continuing to practice their reading skills and we read many interesting stories together this week. They have a great opportunity to spend more time reading their favourite books at home and of course, to write their own stories. We have received so many interesting stories and poems from the children this week. In Maths, we were learning about halves and quarters during live lessons and continuing to revise clocks and multiplication through PurpleMash and ActiveLearn activities. Well done Year 2! Have a good rest this weekend and we look forward to seeing you for Live Lessons on Monday!
