Year 1

This week in Science, we learned about amphibians and Ms. Dunford challenged the students to make their own life cycle of a frog. In Maths, the kids found out how many exercises they could finish in one minute. It turns out that they can do many more than Ms. Dunford! Afterward, they rounded their numbers to the nearest ten and put their data in a pictograph. We also made funny fish in art and drew our cars from the future. On Friday, we shared our baby pictures with each other.

Year 2

Year 2 enjoyed this week’s theme ‘Keeping Active!’ It is more important now than ever that we keep moving and exercising while we are at home. Year 2 counted how many jumps or hops they could do in one minute and shared their results on SeeSaw. We tried some dance challenges and yoga stretches. We all enjoyed Mr Oleg’s challenge! We are all trying to find creative ways to stay active while we are at home. Year 2 have lots of interesting ideas! We learned about healthy and unhealthy food and designed healthy plates.

We are so proud of Year 2, they are working so hard to complete all of their online tasks. They have all worked very hard to improve their reading this week and everyone seems to look forward to reading time in the afternoon.

Great work Year 2!
