We have completed a successful week of fun and engaging online learning in Nursery. Well done to all the children who have tried so hard to interact with the activities that have been set during the course of the week.

It was really heartening to see the children’s individual responses. As a result of wonderful support from home we have been able to cover many areas of our Nursery curriculum.

We look forward to seeing you all online again next week.

Recepetion

This week, the children in Reception have begun their first week learning through online activities. It has certainly been a busy week as we have been receiving lots of videos and photographs of the tasks that the children have been completing at home. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has been supporting them.

Over the course of the week, we continued to explore the topic, Space. This week, the focus story has been a truly delightful story, The Way Back Home by Oliver Jeffers. The children have been busy retelling the story using some of their toys and drawing pictures of their favourite part of the story. The children have also come up with some great ideas about they would do if they got stuck on the moon, drawing pictures or sending video messages of their grand escape plans.

The children have been busy building rockets from recycling materials and have made some magnificent giant rockets at home that they could climb inside. Everyone has been so creative!

However, my favourite part of each day has been watching the children sing along to the morning welcome song. Some children have even made their own Freddy puppets and used their soft toys to represent each member of the class. Keep up the good work everyone!
