As I sit here and look out of my window it seems that spring has arrived, I am sure we are all looking forward to the day when we can get outside and enjoy the fresh air. Most of us are stuck inside but it has not stopped the children and In many cases the parents working extremely hard over the past week. While speaking to teachers, visiting lessons and chatting with the children online I have seen so many parents helping and supporting us with our online learning. So I would like to say a very big thank you to all of you for your continued support as we start term three on Monday
I would also like to take the opportunity to thank all of the teachers who in the past three weeks have learnt new skills, changed the way they teach and stayed positive throughout a extremely difficult time.
This week many of our children had a theme running through some of their lessons “staying active.” On Monday we discussed why it’s important to exercise and what types of exercise the children could do at home, We also spent some time looking at how we can keep our minds active. The children shared what exercise they like the most and also some even made some healthy recipes. In class the children tired everything from Gruffalo Yoga, to salsa dancing and don’t forget Mr. Olegs PE Challenge which was posted on Wednesday.
Our theme next week will be Easter, like in years past we will be having a whole school Easter competition, Children will be asked to create an Easter hat, picture or display and we will have winners from each Key Stage, I will share more information on Monday.
Have a Safe and Happy week,
Mr. Ryan Hannah
