EIS West Book Week EYFS

In Nursery we enjoyed our chosen story ‘Elmer the Elephant’ for book week. We particularly loved the happy colourful different Elmer. We learned about some of the habits of elephants. We played Bingo using colour recognition, painted our own colourful elephants using the dot technique, which we used to create our door display. We counted and recorded different coloured squares and completed a large Elmer floor puzzle.

The book Ms. Anne chose for the reception class was called baby brains, It was about a baby who was very smart and clever, he could fix cars and do any job that was given to him. At the end of the story he was so brave he even went into space. The class enjoyed making planets and rockets and even turned themselves into astronauts for our door display.
