Year 1

It has been a fantastic week in Year 1 this week. In English, we have been reading a new book titled ‘Class 2 at the zoo’ and have been retelling and composing our own sentences about animals. In Maths lessons, we have been learning about odd and even numbers, and we can now identify different 2 digit numbers and explain why they are odd or even. On Thursday, we enjoyed a fantastic World Book Day celebration and took part in many activities including designing our own book covers, costume parade and more! It was lovely to see everybody in their costumes!

Year 2

Our first week back and we are very busy again! Year 2 have started new units and prepared for World Book Day. We designed book covers for World Book Day that match our fairy-tales in English. In Science, we used modelling clay to investigate changing shape – recording our results, of course! In Topic, we have started to learn about Julius Caesar, which is the subject of our focus for Coffee Morning (20/3/20).
